A Brief History of Adams' Peanuts

Roasting peanuts has always been a tradition of the Adams' family. Alcidees Adams first grew peanuts on his farm in 1928. In 1961, his son, Calvin L. Adams began roasting peanuts in his country store. He passed recipes to the next generation when Lewis came to work in 1977.

Adams' Peanuts are still prepared the old fashioned way. They are cooked and sold one mile from the site of the first commercially grown peanuts in Sussex County, Virginia.
